Linnet Carty has been at the PGA of America for over two years and has twelve years of experience working in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion. She heads up programming for the four PGA LEAD Cohorts, as well as creating and implementing diversity and inclusion education and training for the 29,000 PGA Professionals across the nation and the staff at headquarters.
She has been the Vice President of Marketing and Development for a small Technology firm and a Television Talk Show Host & Producer at NBC – WVIT Channel 30. Linnet has worked with educators at the State Department of Education – SERC as an Equity Educator in Connecticut, been an Elementary School Teacher and an Arts and Entertainment Newspaper Columnist for the Hartford Courant.
This first generation Connecticut native hails from a Cuban mother and a Jamaican father. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and was a former International Flight Attendant with Delta Airlines. Linnet earned her B.A. from the University of Connecticut and MBA from Western New England University. In her spare time she enjoys television production, the beach and multicultural cuisine, but her zest in life is in making others laugh.
